This is what keeps us so busy!

What a great weekend! Nicks LASSO U-14 Boys team won 1st place in their division! What a great way to get ready for High School Soccer! Last year they made it to the play offs & tied so we went into a 5 minute overtime. We were still tied so they did another 5 minute overtime & still no one scored so they did a shoot out. How exciting was that. We didn't win last year. We came in second. So to win this year is awesome!! I'm so proud of all the boys.

Alyssas LASSO U-13 Girls team went to the finals this year! They placed second. Alyssa scored the game winning goal in there second game! She was pretty excited! It was a fun weekend! Good weather, good schedule (except for the 7:00 AM games!) & good friends.

Quick & Easy Cards with a Splash!

Enjoy these quick & easy cards!

I used the Botanical "Fancy Cuts." These trendy die-cut flowers
are so easy to work with! They can be sanded, layered , stamped
on, curled (as I did) & pop dotted to add dimension. I love putting
a button or rhinestone in the middle of the flower, it adds that
element that makes the card zing! Use the fun front with patterns
& different colors or create your own patterns & colors on the
back. They are a cardstock weigh, two sided & come in a package
of 3 12 x 12 sheets in various colors. Add a quick splash of color to
your scrapbook pages or cards with these floral designs. ** To curl them I wrapped individual petals around a skinny tool (a pencil or
even something skinnier) I also pressed on the petals to create fold
lines to add more interest & dimension. Of course I had to get my
cuttle bug out & add texture to the solid CS! Gotta love the "bug"!
After I ran the CS through, I sanded & sponged with the sorbet
ink over the dots to add just a touch of the color, sometimes it's
the little things that matter. Adding that little bit of color really pulled the look of the card together. I only sanded the spring Iris
CS & the flower & added blush ink to the petals. Can you tell I love to distress! Give it a try & let me know how it works for you.

This is what keeps us so busy!

My youngest son Jarred is playing on his first select soccer team! He's a U-9 player for LASSO. It's so much fun to watch him play. I can't believe how he is growing up on me!

Sometimes I can actually pull "Cute" off!

O.K. ...You guys that know me know that I don't do cute! (At least not very often!) But dang these pigs are adorable! So is the rest of the stamp set "Nursery Bash". It includes the cutest stacked elephants, giraffe & more. I paired it with patterned paper from the Paper Garden Collection & some buttons! If I'm going to color (which is not very often) I love to use watercolor pencils. They are so easy, you don't even have to be careful. Just add a touch of the pencil & use your watercolor brush to blend it in. Give it a try or call me & I'd be glad to show you how!

Be Yourself, May SOTM

My new downline & friend Teresa & I created this card. We both love using the cuttlebug. We used the May Stamp on the Month. You can get this stamp set at a discount our even FREE! Email me and ask me how!
We wanted to keep the design elegant. We chose black, bamboo & cranberry for our colors & of course we had to add glitter & a jewel! The Black CS we ran through the cuttlebug with an embossing folder & then distressed it by sanding to get to the white core. Next we added a touch of bamboo ink to tone down the white core. We stamped the bamboo CS with a florish design from "Adorable Backgrounds." She's "Sexy" & Beautiful!

Wishes Card Confidence Program Is In!!

I can't wait to see this new "How To" book! It had a release date of June 1 & has come in early & is available now! Wow that doesn't happen very often! I put it on my order & it should be here soon. I'll create some cards with it as soon as it comes in & post them for you to see! One of the reasons I can't wait to see it is for the bulk card designs. It'll show us how to make the most out of our papers & time! There is 8, 12, & 16 bulk card "blueprints". The artwork in Jeanettes "How To" books show the latest trends but also help you to create cards of your own faster, simpler & easier!
